TEN SECRETS TO CHOOSING THE RIGHT
NETWORK MARKETING COMPANY

Today we are going to talk about how to select a network
marketing company. Unfortunately, if you make a mistake
here, you can waste a lot of time and exert tremendous
effort with little reward.
Here are my top ten conditions that must be present to
increase the chances of your building a viable business.
While there are a handful of solid, established companies,
I think the best opportunity lies with a relatively new
company.
1** First, you must have some patience. Not all of a new
company's systems will work flawlessly to start. But that
comes with being a pioneer. When the US pioneers were
traveling West in their covered wagons, it wasn't all
peaches and cream. But if they made it, they were able to
stake their claim and make a new life for themselves.
2** Second, I believe you must be dealing with a product
that is unique. Being first in the market place has
historically proven to capture a market share that stays
ahead of the competition.
3** Third, the management should be rock solid, with a good
history of business experience in a non-networking
environment. There should be one person who does, however,
have extensive networking experience.
4** Fourth, somebody has to have some deep pockets. Most
networking companies that go belly up do so because of
mismanagement or a lack of funds to keep up with unexpected
rapid growth. Make sure the company is funded properly.
5** Fifth, the market for the product should be long-term.
Stay away from “fads” and products that would be easily and
inexpensively copied by another company.
6** Sixth, the product should be highly consumable. People
need it and realize a benefit from using it. They buy it,
consume it and buy or use it again and again.
7** Seventh, stay away from a company run by an
entrepreneur who came up with a marketing plan, then hunted
around for a product to plug into it. I would rather hook
up with a company that invented or bought a new, innovative
product and then made a business decision to market it via
network marketing.
8** Eighth, look for the greed factor. Most companies tell
you they have built the company for you and are in it for
the long pull. But when someone walks in and plunks down a
purchase agreement and a cashier's check for 2 million,
it's a different story. The new company could change
everything.
9** Ninth, the company should have retained one of the top
network marketing attorneys. There are only a handful of
them that specialize in this area. You need assurance that
the attorney will keep everything squeaky clean and flying
well below the radar in all grey areas of the law.
10** Tenth, stay away from owners who have past run-ins
with the FTC or a State Attorney General's Office. If they
have ever been shut down in a previous business, pass
quickly. Once someone gets on the wrong side of these
agencies, they keep coming after you. They can shut a
company down or freeze its bank account faster than you can
say, “Jack Frost”. And they don't even need a reason.
If I haven't scared you half to death, you are now free to
choose your company. Seriously, though, you should try to
remove the emotion from the decision and approach your
choice with the same due diligence that you would apply to
comparing SUVs before buying.
You can make a ton of money in network marketing or you can
waste your time. If you pick a company that meets most of
these criteria, are able to put up with the inevitable
growing pains of a new company and go to work, when the
company goes from small to big, you can set yourself up for
life. Just make sure you give yourself the best odds before
you begin.
